ARKASA VILLAGE. SPLENDID AND HOSPITABLE
O ur village is named Arkasa by the name of the ancient city of "Arkesini" that was build in the same precisely area. Arkasa is a coastal village, can be found nearly
8 km from the main airport of Karpathos and 17 km from the island's capital "Pigadia" and the harbor. In our wonderful village of Arkasa the visitor can find amongst other things many local restaurants, traditional coffee shops, cafe bars and beautiful pathways with courtyards full of flowers. In Arkasa you must also visit the archaeological area of Agia Sofia, go up in Paleokastro to admire the splendid view of the village and its immense seas.
Walking 2 km from Arkasa you will find Finiki. Finiki, a beautiful and well known fisherman's village where you can enjoy spotless tavernas and taste the variety of local Karpathian and Greek cuisine. Arkasa is a village that lives winter and summer time, it rewards the visitor by offering all the above - especially the sweetness of the residents and the splendid sunsets.
